Way back in 2004, I was living in the UK where I happened to glance at a page in the local newspaper that was advertising for a trainee photographer position at a local portrait studio. The studio itself was fairly dubious (let's just say that there were brown and blue mottled backgrounds and teddy bears to match) and I applied for the job rather hesistantly. When the position was offered to me, I figured I had nothing to lose and said yes. It didn't take me long to discover that I absolutely loved photographing real people, kids and families. I haven't looked back since - I have so much fun shooting people and can't think of a better job in the world.
I now live in Blouberg in Cape Town and am a mother of 5 kids (angel baby Jude, earth babies Mikaela and India-Jane and 2 furry kids, Mocha and Java) and a wife to the most gentle, amazing and frustrating man alive.
I’m happiest barefoot, preferably with a glass of chardonnay in hand.
